PDI 2022 Community Service Project: Meals on Wheels (Tuesday 3:00pm-5:00pm)

MOWA isn’t your typical Meals On Wheels organization….
Like other Meals On Wheels, they rely on a dedicated corps of volunteers to deliver consistent meals to senior neighbors. But the seniors they serve fall into one of the most underserved and most vulnerable demographics in Atlanta.
For this reason, they go the extra mile. Since their humble beginnings in 1965 as a local soup kitchen, they’ve grown into a lifeline for all-around quality of life. The meals they serve are nutritious and delicious, prepared by experienced chefs and dietician. They race to seniors’ rescue with their robust home repairs program, pet food supply, and emergency food pantry. They are on a mission to end senior hunger in Atlanta.
Most importantly, they couldn’t do any of it without supporters like ASMC volunteers. The 2022 National PDI Community service project will assist with stocking the MOWA Emergency Food Pantry. Please consider volunteering.
The bus to MOWA will depart the Georgia World Congress Center at 2:15pm and return by 5:30pm.
